Membership is for a calendar year (1 January to 31 December). A half yearly membership applies after 1 July.

Due to an unprecedented demand many of our Classes are filling fast and some have already reached capacity with waitlists.
Before completing your Membership/Renewal Application please view the availability of your preferred class on our Classes page.  If there are places available you will see ENROL NOW with the number of Places available i.e.(4) if the class has reached capacity it will be showing Places available (0). You have the option of either joining the WAITLIST or alternatively contacting the listed Group Leader to discuss your options.  To obtain the specific Group Leader contact details please click on our Timetable. (Please note: Due to some of the rooms still not available at the SDA until after 13th May a second timetable will be issued in a couple of weeks with the updated room changes.)

You can pay your membership fees online by credit card or direct deposit to the U3A Tweed Coast Inc bank account.  You may need to allow a couple of days for your funds to arrive in our bank account.  If you are unable to use these methods  lease contact our Membership Officer via to arrange payment.
Before you can participate in a class or activity at U3A Tweed Coast you must be a financial member. Once a member you may access as many classes as you would like – there are no further class costs except for materials (where relevant).

Once you have paid for your membership by credit or debit card; you will receive an email invitation to create a password of your choosing to log in to U3A Tweed Coast members’ area. Our team may take up to 48 hours to process your email invitation. You cannot log in immediately after membership payment.In the members’ log in area you can:

  • enrol and pay for the class of your choosing
  • online payment is required at the time of enrolment
  • class enrolment is available online only and on a term-by-term basis
  • some classes and other activities such as excursions incur additional costs

You will be issued with a membership badge with your full name and membership ID. Your membership badge can be collected from your Group Leader when attending your first class.
As a courtesy to your Group Leaders and other U3A members, we ask that your membership badge be worn at all times when attending U3A classes or functions.

U3A Tweed Coast Coast has a login area for members. Using your email address and chosen password, you can log in to do members’ functions. At the end of each year, the renewal of membership and enrolment in classes for term 1 are done in 2-steps.
Membership renewal must occur first before you are able to enrol in term 1 classes, renewal and enrolment cannot be done in one transaction.
We usually start the renewal process from 1 December and enrolment for term 1 of the new year starts early January. So there is plenty of time to renew prior to enrolment.

  • Read governance documents
  • Re-order name badge
  • Update personal details

To be a renewing or continuous member you must renew your membership for a fee of $75.00 prior to 31 March of each year. Incumbent members who have not paid their fee prior to 31 March will be regarded as new members. The cost of membership for new members is $75.00.
