YOGA GROUPS
Thanks to our dedicated Group Leaders, we now have four Yoga groups and one
Pilates group each week.There may be a waiting list for some so check the Timetable
and contact the Group Leader before attending.

         Mah-Jong on Monday has places available for beginners or more experienced players. Janet is happy to chat to you about joining on 0412 821 642.

    Did you know you can now play Mah-Jong at Murwillumbah on Wednesday.
                and “Pony Canasta” at the Tweed Heads Library meeting room on Tuesday.

Friday 1st March 2019

As a great start to our First Friday Forums for 2019 we welcomed Bev Larsson, who, as a  Motivational Speaker for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, was named the  winner at the 2017 Tweed Shire Access and Inclusion Awards for her ongoing  work with primary schools and other community groups. With her Guide Dog Henry, Bev, who abruptly lost her vision eight years ago,  gave us a true – life account of what it is like to have sight loss but still live an amazing and inspiring, independent life.

FRIDAY APRIL  5th   

  INGRID STEYNBERG –  Former vet and wildlife carer.  Working with wildlife at  Kruger National Park in South Africa.  We found out about behind the scenes care for all the wonderful wildlife of Kruger, including the BIG 5.

GERARD DUNLOP –  Senior’s Rights Service. This service provides education, legal &  advocacy support for seniors and a useful overview for Aged Care Services. A large audience was very appreciative of the information given by Gerard and had lots of questions

Our very own, talented Singing Group,Led by Jennifer,l performed a new selection of                  songs for our listening pleasure.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 4th  School holidays. No Forum

FRIDAY NOVEMBER 1st   A FASHION PARADE.

Our Forum organiser Lorraine excels at presenting our fashion parades and this one will be no exception.  Mark this date for our last Forum of the year for loads of                                                           Fun, Frivolity & Food

FRIDAY 6th  DECEMBER  IS OUR FABULOUS CHRISTMAS PARTY

 FRIDAY FORUM  afternoons are open to everyone not just  members so bring a friend or a new neighbour  $2 entry includes afternoon tea.

 WE HATE TO BE THE BADGE POLICE BUT IT IS A CONDITION OF ATTENDING  ALL U3A COURSES THAT YOUR MEMBERSHIP BADGE IS WORN OR DISPLAYED  IN A PROMINENT PLACE.  THE REASON FOR THIS RECENTLY BECAME EVIDENT WHEN A MEMBER  HAD A MEDICAL   EPISODE AND THE COURSE LEADER NEEDED EMERGENCY CONTACT DETAILS.

 PLEASE DO NOT EMBARRASS YOUR COURSE LEADER BY IGNORING THIS

Why not join some more activities.There are so many to choose from. You could do something new every day!!!!

 If you attend any Groups at Cudgen Leagues Club or Murwillumbah Services    Club, you must be a member of that Club.The annual fee is a modest $6 & $5  There are no exceptions to this. Did you know that club members get discounts on the great meals at the Club.

Take Barbara, she loved playing Pony Canasta so much she started a Group. Now she has a regular band of experienced players and is happy to teach beginners.

Think about what you could share with others, Chess or Backgammon, Play Reading, Drama/Acting.
